A veteran of World War II, who is 102 years old, has become a viral sensation on Tikok, who shares his experiences of war -time stories.
Jake Larsen, aka “Papa Jake,” Talking about serving the country with Fox News Digital and shared what Independence Day means. (Watch the video on top of this article.)
Larsen of Lafiyet, California fought in six battles during World War II, while Omaha Beach came on D-Day and then the Battle of the Bull.

He was born in Ovetona, Minnesota, who was admitted to the National Guard at the age of 15 in 1938 – and lying about his age.
Larsen said, “Increasing in a field during depression with electricity, water or money, I have been appreciated by us today.”

When Pearl Harbor was attacked, he was 18 years old. Larsen jokingly said that he “did not even know that Pearl Harbor is in existence.”
After Pearl Harbor, Larsen spent three years in Europe.
He said, “I came only from the infantry. I was planning a de-day. Not only did I get D-Day plan … I landed on Omaha Beach and that night I was kept in charge of Omaha Beach,” he said.

Larsen said that he was assigned to the night shift for the G3 – and continued this duty through the Bull’s fight.
On D-Day, he took his rifle to his head till his chin in water.
He said, “I have prepared eight rounds, and I am holding over my head, so I will not get ammunition.”

“But I was more afraid of small arms fire that we were receiving from the edge.”
He said, “They are shooting at you from the edge, you are running on landmines. It’s incredible.”

He said, “The most incredible part of this is that I came without a scratch in six of those incidents.”
Of the 16.4 million Americans serving in World War II, around 66,143, according to US data, were alive until 2024. Veteran department,
“In the beginning of World War II, Great Britain and Ireland were full of American soldiers, fighting them for the freedom of the whole world,” Larsen said.

The book author “The Lucky Man in the World”, Larsen also talked about his gratitude to those who paid the final service for their country.
He said, “His souls are now looking at me. Every time I talk, I like to remind people that they look upwards, look down us, they are heroes,” he told Fox News Digital. “I’m just working there.”
